Sky Recruitment Solutions has revealed it will be opening a new office in Burton as part of its expansion plans.

Recently, the company, which is based out of the Cubo office building in Derby, said that it planned to open three new offices by autumn.

The firm, which already has offices in Ripley and Huddersfield, has now said it will open an office in Burton, although the exact location is being kept under wraps while final negotiations take place.

In the meantime, the company has announced the manager for the new branch.

Beckie Elliott, who will initially also retain her role as business manager at the firm’s head office in Derby, has been chosen to head-up the Burton team.

She initially joined Sky in 2015 after successfully applying for a business administration apprenticeship role.

She said: “I’m thrilled to be given the opportunity to manage the new Burton operation.

“There’s so much potential in Burton – and probably a gap there in the recruitment market – so I’m really excited about growing our brand there and generally helping to grow the business.

“These recent months have been extremely difficult for many, so I’m more passionate than ever about helping those people find work again.”

Two further locations for Sky’s new office expansion plans will be revealed in the near future. It is expected that the firm’s 14-strong workforce will double by the end of the year.

Group managing director David Torrington said: “Beckie has shown an extraordinary talent for the recruitment business since I took her on straight from her A-levels more than five years ago.

“She was a clear choice to take responsibility for the new Burton office, and I am confident she’ll make a great success of her new, well-deserved role.

“Burton is a fabulous centre, with an impressive industrial and brewing heritage, so it seemed like an obvious location to continue our expansion.”
