Super draw raises super amount

An annual lottery draw organised by Treetops Hospice has raised more than £17,000, which will go towards supporting local patients and their families.

This year’s Treetops Hospice Lottery Super Draw was won by a player from Heanor, who plans to donate part of her £2,000 prize back to the Risley hospice.

Rebecca Lee-Jones, Treetops’ lottery manager, said: “Our huge thanks go to everyone who took part in this year’s Super Draw and helped us raise over £17,000 for the hospice.

“All proceeds from every Treetops Lottery ticket sold helps fund our vital services and makes a real difference to local people living with a life-limiting illness.”

The Treetops Hospice Lottery, which celebrated its 25th birthday in 2021, has raised almost £8m since it began.

As well as the Super Draw, the hospice as holds a weekly prize draw, which gives players the chance to win prizes of up to £10,000.

To date, the draw has raised almost £8 million since it was first held more than 25 years ago.
