Recruitment firm shows its appreciation

Professional services recruitment firm Sellick Partnership recently marked Employee Appreciation Day by giving all its staff the day off.

Last Friday, the firm, which has a base in Derby, gave teams across the company the day off as a ‘thank you’ for their efforts.

Traditionally, the recruitment firm, which has been recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing by Great Place to Work UK, had allowed employees to finish early and have lunch on the business.

However, for the last couple of years, it has been giving everyone the day off.

Group director Laura Hayward said: “Having a culture of appreciation and recognition within our business is vital – and Employee Appreciation Day provides us a chance to express how grateful we are for the dedication and hard work of our teams.

“We are not only thanking them for their contributions, but also prioritising their wellbeing and work-life balance by giving back some well-earned time. It’s a day to recharge and do something that makes them feel good.”
