“I was totally amazed when my tutor told me that I had been nominated for this award.”
Emily was presented with a cheque from the Chairman of Bowmer & Kirkland, John Kirkland, after the scheme was launched following completion of the £48 million Roundhouse campus restoration and building programme.
Emily is hoping to continue to the next level in plastering, complete other construction-based training and then set up her own business in the field.

“We set up the bursary in 2009 to support young people starting out in their career in construction and Emily is a very worthy winner.”
