Chatworth Wins Chelsea
Horticultural offerings from Derbyshire took centre stage at this year's RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Chatsworth House's first-ever garden exhibit won Best Show Garden with television chef Nigel Slater calling it the “most beautiful garden” he had ever seen.
The plot, designed by Dan Pearson, is a miniature version of part of the 10-acre Derbyshire estate and includes plants and materials from the Wonder of the Peak. The plot features version of the trout stream and landscape designer Sir Joseph Paxton's famous rock garden.

Another Derbyshire show piece dominated the headlines earlier this week unveiling Paul Cummins latest artwork. The artist who last year made international news with his incredible poppy display in the Tower of London's moat, this time used tulips as his inspiration.
The stunning eight-metre column entitled Candy was inspired by the 17th Century 'Tulipomania' in Holland.
