Derby Book Festival at Home

Despite the disruption to its 2020 plans caused by COVID-19, the team at the Derby Book Festival has created a series of online events to bring some of its programme to you at home.

A series of 'DBF at Home' author interviews, posted daily on the Festival website from 29th May to 6th June at 10am, has been launched to give a flavour of the breadth of the programme and to keep the joy of books and reading alive in the absence of the Festival.

Today (2nd June), Marketing Derby Bondholders would have heard from business guru, Andrew Wallas, and, to mark the occasion, the Derby Book Festival posted a video from Andrew sharing his Business Alchemy philosophy.

John Forkin, Marketing Derby at Managing Director, said: “We believe the Derby Book Festival is one of the highlights of the year and are delighted that they have found a way to sustain activity through the Covid pandemic.”

Derby Book Festival will be capping the series off with a bumper Festival Book Quiz – 10 rounds, 10 questions each – posted on its website on Friday 5th June, with answers made available on Saturday 6th June. The new site, designed by Bondholder BurntheBook, will see new exciting content in the coming weeks – www.derbybookfestival.co.uk.

Also on Friday 5th June, Chair of Derby Book Festival, Liz Fothergill CBE will be the guest of Neil White, co-founder of Bondholder Black & White PR, as part of the Bondholder Live Lounge webinar. Along with her passion for books, Liz will also talk about what has inspired her along the way and what challenges she has overcome. She has been the High Sheriff of Derbyshire and has recently been appointed as Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Derbyshire.
