College marks 20 years of charity support
Derby College Group has marked 20 years of supporting a charity in the city, which helps people recovering from addiction.
Since 2003, the college has been offering its services to Jericho House, a nine-bed residential addiction recovery project, which provides a holistic approach to drug addiction with elements of housing support and resettlement.
The college provides a comprehensive range of support, helping residents to achieve qualifications and get access to training.
James Broome, lecturer of functional skills at Derby College, said: “It has been an absolute pleasure working with Jericho House.
“We have adapted our teaching approach so that the training really has an impact.
“It is so heart-warming to see the men progress and see them achieve qualifications in a number of subjects.
“It really is so worthwhile, and it is a privilege to be supporting the men and such an important charity.”
