The co-founder of flex office provider Cubo has been shortlisted in the world’s most prestigious entrepreneur awards.

Marc Brough, who founder the business with wife Rebecca in 2020, has been named as a Midlands and South West finalist for EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2023 UK.

Operating in over 60 countries and 145 cities, the global programme, which is run by Ernst & Young, highlights entrepreneurial achievement and companies that demonstrate vision, leadership, and success.

The UK finalists will be announced in September, with an awards ceremony to be held in November.

Cubo currently operates flex offices in Derby, Nottingham, Sheffield, Leeds, and Birmingham.

Earlier this year, plans were set out to open four new workspaces.

A new site in Edinburgh and a second site in Nottingham have just been unveiled, with a new site in Manchester and a second Birmingham workspace set to be announced shortly.

Marc, who is chief executive of Cubo, said: “To be named as a regional finalist in this year’s EY Entrepreneur of the Year programme alongside some of the most high-profile entrepreneurs in the region is hugely gratifying and reflects Cubo’s growing reputation in the flex office sector.

“Thanks go out to my fantastic team – I couldn’t have done this without their continued support.

“This is only the start for Cubo – we have ambitious plans for more new workspaces in exciting locations, with representation in all leading provincial centres planned by 2025 and plans to take the brand international.”
