Law firm up for apprenticeship awards
Law firm Sort Legal has been shortlisted for a brace of regional awards recognising its approach to apprenticeships.
The Derby-based firm, which provides legal services to clients wishing to buy, sell or remortgage their homes, has been shortlisted in two categories at this year’s Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Apprenticeship awards.
The company is a finalist in the SME Employer of the Year category while Janet Quinlan-Jones, line manager for the firm’s remortgage team, has been shortlisted for Mentor of the Year.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Thursday 5 October.
Sort Legal was recently ranked 24th in this year’s Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employer awards, which recognise the nation’s top apprenticeship employers.
Chief executive Kevin Tunnicliffe said: “Apprenticeships are at the very heart of our company, and this recognition acknowledges our commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering a culture of learning and development.”
