Music studio up for top national award

Derby music studio Dubrek Studios is calling on the help of fellow Marketing Derby Bondholders to help it win a top national award.

Dubrek, which comprises a performance venue, art gallery, recording studio and rehearsal rooms, has been nominated in the Grassroots Music Venue: Spirit of the Scene category for this year’s Music Week Awards.

The award is decided by public vote and Dubrek Studios, which is a strategic partner of the University of Derby is calling on Bondholders to vote for them.

Jay Dean, from Dubrek Studios, said: “Being on the list of nominees is a huge accomplishment alone and Dubrek is up against some very well established and respected opposition.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to get Derby on the music industry radar and it would be great to see the people in the city giving support by voting and sharing.”

The closing date for voting is Friday 31 March. The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony on 24 May.
