Sofie steps up to sales role
The Derby Conference Centre has announced the appointment of a new sales office manager.
Sofie Skaaning, who joined the business in 2021 as a conference and events sales executive, has taken on the role. She rejoins the sales team, after a stint in the operational side of the business.
The DCC is a multi-purpose venue, capable of holding weddings for up to 200 people, as well as staging more than 100 events a year, alongside conferences and meetings. It also has its own on-site office space and hotel.
Sofie’s appointment is the second internal promotion the DCC has made within the past couple of months.
Sofie said: “My recent experience working in different departments of the company has given me excellent skills to build both the sales team and the business.
“I’m looking forward to a busy few months ahead with Christmas parties coming up and the many exciting events in 2024.”
