Talent services firm marks 20 years

Talent consulting services firm EMBS has marked 20 years in business.

The Derby-based firm, whose areas of expertise include technology, engineering, property and manufacturing, was originally founded in 2003 – and in that time has grown its range of services.

With clients all over the UK, over the past two decades EMBS has successfully placed thousands of candidates with hundreds of employers.

To celebrate the landmark, the firm recently held a directors’ dinner.

Reflecting on the past 20 years, Simon Bucknell, talent services director and one of the original founders of EMBS, said: “When we started EMBS I had just turned 30. There was no social media. Facebook was still inside Mark Zuckerberg’s head, and recruitment was so different!

“We’ve constantly changed our value proposition, pivoting and productising exciting new services.

“We’ve also employed some fantastic people who have gone on to do amazing things.

“So, to everyone that has worked with us, to all of our clients, to the thousands and thousands of candidates we’ve placed I’d like to say thank you.”
