Taste of Med coming to Derbion

Derbion has announced that a rising Mediterranean food brand will be the latest name to join its food offer.

Villa Express, which serves modernised traditional Mediterranean recipes, is opening its first physical location in the UK at Derbion, with the new space set to open within the shopping destination’s Food Terrace in July.

Founded in 2013, the brand originates in Canada, and as well as Derby, it is planning to open three more eateries across the Midlands over the coming months.

Derbion has recently invested more than £3.6 million into its dining offer, including £2 million into the refurbishment of its Food Terrace.

Beth McDonald, managing director of Derbion, said: “We’re delighted to announce that Villa Express will be joining our expanding dining offer and are excited to be able to offer shoppers the chance to enjoy a taste of the Mediterranean – a brand-new cuisine choice within the centre.
