Wholesaler to move to new £5m base

An Asian restaurant wholesaler is set to move into its new £5 million Derby base.

Ocean King is relocating from a 5,000 sq ft warehouse in Loughborough to a 32,000 sq ft base at Victory Park, following a deal secured by Salloway Property Consultants.

The Derby site features nap pods, a language school, shared professional services spaces, a wellbeing cafe, business hub, trade and public counters, and solar panels.

The company has plans to grow its workforce from 30 full-time employees to 150 over the next three years.

Steven Thai, managing director of Ocean King, said: “We’ve worked really hard for this, and we’re not done yet.

“We won’t stop at this one. Our growth strategy sees us opening more bases like this over the next decade.”
